Who we are

Maxt Offroad is a UTV accessories store based in Idaho, United States, operated by MaxtDesign LLC (doing business as Maxt Offroad). We are an independent authorized dealer of the UTV brands we carry. If you have any question about this policy or about your data, reach us through the contact page or at support@maxtoffroad.com.

This policy describes what information this site actually collects, why we collect it, and what happens to it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect and why

Contact form

When you use our contact form, we ask for your name, email address, a subject, and your message. That submission is emailed directly to us. It is not stored in the website database. We keep the email as long as we need it to handle your question, then it lives in our mailbox like any other correspondence.

Dealer application

If you apply to become a dealer, we ask for your business name, contact name, email, phone number, resale or tax ID, and a message. We use it only to evaluate and respond to your application.

Store accounts and orders

When you place an order or create an account, we collect your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, and your order history. We use this information to process and ship your order, provide order updates, handle returns, and meet our accounting and tax obligations. This information is stored in our store database.

Payments

Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded and the details we need to fulfill your order.

Saved garage (your vehicle)

Our garage feature lets you save your machine (make, model, year, and trim) so we can show you parts that fit. How it is stored depends on whether you are logged in:

• Logged in: your saved vehicles are stored with your account in our store database so they follow you across devices.
• Not logged in: your vehicle is saved in your own browser using localStorage, plus one first-party functional cookie named md_ymm_vehicle that lasts about 6 months. This data describes a vehicle, not you, and it stays on your device until you clear it or it expires.

Cookies, analytics, and your choices

The cookies this site needs to work are functional and first-party: they remember your saved vehicle (md_ymm_vehicle, about 6 months), keep your cart and login session working (standard WooCommerce cookies), and hold your garage and cart state in your browser’s localStorage. These are required for the store to run.

Beyond those, we show a consent banner so you stay in control of any optional cookies. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is performing and where visitors come from. It runs only after you accept analytics cookies and is held back until then through Google Consent Mode; analytics data is processed by Google under its own terms, and we do not sell it or use it to identify you personally. Decline, and no optional or analytics cookies are set. You can review or change your choice at any time from the “Manage Your Cookie Preferences” control below.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your personal information with anyone, for any reason.
• We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use analytics without your consent.
• Product reviews are disabled, so nothing you submit here is published publicly.

How long we keep information

Contact and dealer application emails are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation. Order and account records are kept as long as your account is active and as long as accounting and tax rules require us to keep transaction records. Guest garage data never reaches our servers at all; it lives in your browser.

Your rights and deletion requests

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We honor these requests for everyone, no matter what state or country you live in and regardless of any legal threshold that would let us decline. Send your request through the contact page and we will confirm once it is done. Note that we may need to keep basic transaction records where tax or accounting law requires it.

Children

This site sells vehicle accessories and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles data, we will update this page and change the date below. Significant changes, like adding a new payment provider or an analytics tool, will be reflected here.
