Overview
Most front bumpers make you choose between protection and a place to mount a light. This one skips that argument. It is a black steel bar across the nose of your X3 with an oval slot already cut in the upper center for a spotlight.
The bumper itself is high quality metal, durable and impact resistant, guarding the front end and the headlights from the rocks and brush that come with riding anything technical. The surface is black powder coated, so it is rustproof and holds up through every season without looking beat after the first wet trip. The metallic look sits well against the factory bodywork instead of fighting it.
The mounting slot in the upper center is adjustable and measures 11 mm across, which means you can position a spotlight where it actually helps rather than where the bracket forces it. The spotlight itself is not included, so pick the one you want.
Installation runs in three steps: join the bumper guards to the connecting pipe, pull the front hood and the bottom buffer plate, then insert and tighten the bumper screws. The documentation covers the details.
