Overview
This is the Assault Industries roof fan for side by sides. It mounts in the roof and pulls fresh air in from outside the cab, which is exactly what a closed cab needs on slow, hot or dusty rides when the windshield and doors trap heat and stale air.
Which roofs it fits
The fan is not tied to a make or model. The fitment note says it fits any flat roof made of aluminum, plastic, steel or polycarbonate, on Polaris, Can-Am, Yamaha, Honda or anything else. The roof is what matters: a roof that is not flat where the fan goes is not listed. Find a roof to mount it on in UTV roofs.
Standard Roof or the sunroof adapter
Choose Standard Roof for any flat roof. Choose Assault Industries Aluminum Roof with Sunroof only if you run that exact roof. That version comes with a precut piece of dark tinted polycarbonate that replaces the panel in the roof’s sunroof, for a cleaner, built in look and an easier install. The adapter is for that roof only.
Roofs to mount it on: UTV roofs.

Installation
Assault Industries calls it a do it yourself job with basic hand tools, and provides downloadable step by step instructions plus the cutting template. You cut an opening in your roof with the template, set the fan with its gasket so it seals, and wire it to power. Measure twice and mark the center before you cut, and check the underside of the roof for supports, mounts or wiring in the way. The description does not list a wiring harness, so read the instructions for the power hookup first, use wire sized for the run, and consider a quick disconnect so the fan is easy to service later.
FAQs
Is it loud?
Assault Industries says it is built for quiet operation. The three speeds let you trade airflow for noise.
Does it work with a full cab enclosure?
Yes, and that is where it helps most, because it moves fresh air through a sealed cab. Close the vents when it is cold.
Will it run on my electric UTV?
It has 12 volt or 48 volt capacity, so Assault Industries pitches it for gas and electric machines. Confirm your machine's system before you wire it.
Can I aim the air?
Yes. Each of the four vents rotates 360 degrees, so you can point air at the driver, the passenger or the back seat.
Can it go in a polycarbonate roof?
Yes, if the roof is flat where it mounts. Polycarbonate is on the fitment list along with aluminum, plastic and steel.
