Overview
Weather changes faster than most people want to swap parts in a parking lot. A can am defender flip windshield solves that by hinging: pop it open when you want air moving through the cab, drop it shut when the rain, mud, and cold wind show up. Same panel, two modes, no tools between them.
The panel is hard coated polycarbonate, rated up to 250 times stronger than glass, so it takes impacts and resists scratching instead of spidering the first time a branch catches it. Light transmission runs about 95%, which is bright and close to distortion free, and it knocks down harsh sun and UV exposure while it is at it.
The seal is where a flip design usually falls down, and this one uses a precision rubber gasket around the perimeter. Closed up, it keeps out wind, rain, dust, and water, and it cuts the wind noise enough that you can hold a conversation or actually hear your music at speed. Install is quick with basic tools and no drilling.
