Overview
Locking mounts live outside, which is exactly the problem. Dust, mud, and winter road spray all end up in the keyway, and a cylinder that has been packed with grit for a season gets stubborn. The Gen 2 mount was reworked around that.
It carries a redesigned lock cylinder built for a longer service life, and a dust cover is now integrated into the handle rather than hanging off it as an afterthought. Cap it after you lock up and moisture and debris stay out, so the key still turns clean on the next trip and the one after that.
Install is the usual RotoPax routine. Bolt the base to a flat surface, set your container on the mount so it seats into the molded dimples, turn until tight, then key the lock. It fits RotoPax containers, and the handle profile gives you enough grip to pull a full pack down snug by hand.
