Overview
The back of a Talon is open, which is fine right up until the first whoop section sends a cooler out onto the trail. This Kemimoto honda talon bed enclosure closes off the rear of the cargo area so tools, coolers, straps, and everything else you threw back there stays where you put it.
The frame is 20mm diameter steel tubing with 3mm steel plating, a combination that keeps the tailgate light enough to handle without giving up strength. The steel is impact resistant and corrosion resistant, with a black electrophoretic surface treatment that also keeps the edges smooth. That last part is not a throwaway detail, because this is a part you grab with bare hands while loading gear.

Install is a bolt-on with the included hardware and takes minutes rather than an afternoon. The cut-out pattern in the center plate keeps the weight down and gives the back of the machine a finished look instead of a flat panel. Fitment covers the Honda Talon 1000R and 1000X from 2019-2024, and the Talon 1000X-4 from 2020-2024.
