Overview
This is SuperATV’s flip down windshield for the Polaris RZR XP 1000. Strapped up, it is a full windshield that keeps wind, rain and trail junk out of the cab. Unstrap it and fold it down onto the hood and you are riding behind a half windshield instead, or pull it off altogether on a nice day.
Which RZR it fits
Polaris RZR XP 1000 and RZR XP 4 1000, 2014 to 2023. You pick your year range when you order: 2014-2018 or 2019-2023. SuperATV’s fitment note says it can be used with most soft or hard tops.
The RZR XP Turbo is a separate listing, and so is a RZR XP newer than 2023. For that newer machine, look at the Assault Industries glass windshield for the newer RZR XP. Everything else is in UTV windshields.
Flip down or flip up
This one folds forward onto the hood and is held by straps, so changing position means stopping and working the straps. A flip windshield for the RZR XP 1000 opens upward instead and has a vented middle setting you can reach from the seat. Owners on the RZR forums say a cracked open vent setting also helps push dust out of the cab. If you want simple and quiet, the flip down is the straightforward choice. If you change settings a lot on the move, look at the flip.

Installation
No drilling. The hood brackets mount at an existing mounting point with a screwdriver, and SuperATV says the rest goes on without tools since the windshield arrives preassembled. Get the straps snug and even before the first ride, then check them again after it, because a strap that loosens is what lets a folding windshield move around. Clean polycarbonate with warm water, mild soap and a clean microfiber cloth. Skip glass cleaner and anything with ammonia or alcohol, and rinse the dust off before you wipe, since dry wiping a dusty panel is what scratches it.
FAQs
Is it scratch resistant?
Yes. This windshield has the XR Optic hard coating on both sides. Scratch resistant still is not scratch proof, so rinse before you wipe.
Does it fit the four seat XP 4 1000?
Yes, 2014 to 2023, same as the two seat.
Will it work with my roof?
SuperATV's note says it can be used with most soft or hard tops.
What is the warranty?
