Aluminum keeps the weight reasonable at around 38 pounds while standing up to trail abuse far better than plastic panels that crack in the cold or warp in the heat. It mounts to the factory cage of the RZR XP 4 1000 and RZR XP 4 Turbo, so it sits flush and looks like it belongs there.
