Overview
A winch earns its keep the first time it drags you out of a hole, but it only helps if it is bolted down solid. This Tusk winch mount is a machine specific plate that sets your winch in the right spot on a Yamaha Grizzly or Kodiak, so the load pulls where it should instead of fighting a bracket that never quite lined up.
The plate is cut from quarter inch steel, so it takes the strain of a hard pull without flexing. A black powder coat finish goes over it to hold off rust and corrosion once the mud and water start flying. The mounting pattern is drilled with several hole positions, which lets it carry most winches rated from 1500 to 4500 pounds.
