Overview
Fifty inches across the roof line is about as much light as an X3 can carry, and this bar uses the space well. High-output 10W LEDs behind clear PC lenses put out up to 15,500 lumens, split between a 6 degree spot beam for distance and a 60 degree flood for the wide near field. At night that combination is the difference between guessing a corner and seeing it.
There are 8 modes total: one white driving light and 7 ambient colors, all handled from the rocker switch. Worth knowing that white and ambient run independently, so the driving light shuts off while an ambient color is active. The colors are for camp, shows, and group rides. The white is for actually going somewhere.
Durability is where the 50 inch led light bar earns its price. The housing is rated for 50,000 hours and sealed to IP67, and the 2.6mm mounting brackets are 304 stainless with a black painted finish for corrosion resistance. Those brackets line up with the factory roll cage holes, so there is no drilling, and they work with either a roof or a windshield setup.
