Overview
Height is what gets you noticed on a dune hill, and four feet of lit whip clears most roll cages by a wide margin. This Kemimoto pair uses COB LEDs instead of the usual 5050 SMD strips, which means 2016 light beads packed into each whip rather than a few hundred. The practical difference is a brighter, smoother glow with less of the hot-spot glare you get from spaced-out chips.
Control runs two ways. The smartphone app gives you 212 modes, music sync, a scheduling timer, and 100 steps of both speed and brightness. The RF remote is the grab-and-go option with 366 modes, 10 solid colors, 6 speeds, and 10 brightness levels. Either way the light spirals around the whip for a full 360 degree glow.
Each 4ft led whip light sits on a quick-release mounting base with a 12mm aluminum shaft, so it drops into most standard whip mounts and comes off just as fast when you trailer. Flag clamps are adjustable to keep the flag from wrapping itself around the pole. A transparent heat-shrink sleeve over EVA and high-toughness silicone keeps the COB chips sealed to IP67, and the design has passed 55,000+ hours of durability testing.
