Overview
This is SuperATV’s 30 inch chase light bar. It faces backward, and its job is to make sure the driver behind you can see you through dust, sand and dark.
What it fits
The bar is universal. SuperATV says it comes with hardware, but the maker’s information does not name a tube size or a mounting spot, so plan where a 30 inch bar will sit on the back of your cage before you order.
Why run a chase light
In a group, the machine in front disappears in its own dust. Amber and red are the colors that show through it, which is why chase bars use them. The white center light is a different job: it is a work light for the back of the machine. Wiring the bar to your brake and turn circuits does not by itself make a machine legal for the road. Those rules vary by state, so check your own.

Features
- Strobe: multiple strobe patterns
- Wiring: made to splice into your OEM wiring harness or an aftermarket turn signal kit, so it works with brake lights, turn signals and reverse lights
- Switches: an in-line dual switch and a prewired rocker switch for the dash. Either one gives full light and strobe control
Tech Specs
| Color | Amber and red lights for visibility, with a white center light that works as a flood light |
|---|---|
| Power | 30 W |
| Water Rating | IP65 water-resistant |
Installation
Mount the bar facing rearward, then pick your switch. The prewired rocker switch goes in the dash. The in-line dual switch is there if you would rather not cut the dash. Tying it into the brake, turn and reverse circuits means splicing into the machine's harness or your turn signal kit, so find the right wires with a test light first and seal every splice.
FAQs
Do I have to wire it to the brake lights?
No. Both switches give you full light and strobe control on their own. The brake, turn and reverse tie-in is there if you want it.
Does it need a turn signal kit?
No. SuperATV says it can splice into the OEM wiring harness or an aftermarket turn signal kit.
Is it waterproof?
It is rated IP65 water-resistant. That is a water-resistant rating, so do not treat it as submersible.
Is it a forward light bar?
No. It is a rear facing visibility light. For forward light see UTV light bars.
