Overview
This is the Assault Industries F-22 rear bumper for the Can-Am Maverick X3. It is a tubular steel bumper for the two seat and four seat machines, and it does a second job: it takes the place of the radius rod chassis plate, so the bumper and the plate are one part.

The Smart-Shox models are not on the fitment list for this bumper, so ask us before you order for one. The Maverick Trail, Sport and Maverick R are different machines and are not listed either. Their bumpers are in UTV bumpers.
The F-22 or a plain tube bumper
The reason to pick the F-22 is the integrated plate. You get rear protection and a radius rod plate in one bolt on part, with hitch points built in, and Assault Industries says it adds that without giving up ground clearance. If you already run an aftermarket radius rod plate you like, this bumper takes its place, so decide which one you want to keep. Installation
Assault Industries describes a bolt on design and a straightforward install. Keep in mind what the part replaces. The radius rod plate is where the rear suspension links meet the chassis, so this is a job to do with the machine properly supported and the fasteners tightened to the machine's service specs. If that is outside what you normally do, have a shop fit it.
