Overview
These are SuperATV’s HDPE half doors for the Can-Am Defender HD5. The panels are thick high density polyethylene, a tough plastic, and they close the lower cab against mud, rocks and brush while leaving the top open.
Which Defender it fits
Can-Am Defender HD5 and HD5 DPS, model years 2017 to 2021. Other engine sizes, newer model years and the MAX crew cab are not listed for this set. See UTV doors for those.
HDPE or aluminum
The HD5 also has aluminum doors for the Defender HD5. SuperATV states its HDPE half doors are 38% stronger than aluminum doors; that is the maker’s claim. The practical difference: HDPE is a thick plastic panel with a textured finish that hides scrapes, plus rotary latches and a bulb seal. Aluminum is the metal alternative. Both are half doors.

Installation
Work from SuperATV's instructions for the HD5. As with any hard door, hang each one with the hardware snug, then adjust until the door closes on the bulb seal evenly and the rotary latch catches without slamming. Tighten everything once it closes right, and check the bolts again after the first few rides.
FAQs
What is HDPE?
High density polyethylene, a thick, tough plastic. On these doors it is 5/8 inch thick.
Do they seal?
They come with a rubber bulb seal for a tight fit at the door. They are half doors, so the top of the cab stays open.
Will they fit a different Defender model?
This listing is for the HD5 and HD5 DPS only. Check UTV doors for other models.
Will scratches show?
The textured finish is there to help hide wear. Deep gouges will still show on any panel.
