Overview
These aluminum half doors are built for the 2016 to 2021 Can-Am Defender HD8. They fill the lower half of each side of the cab so the mess from the job site or the trail stays outside, and they put a solid armrest where the open side used to be.
Which Defender it fits
Can-Am Defender HD8, HD8 DPS, HD8 XT and HD8 XT Cab, model years 2016 to 2021. If your Defender is a MAX with the second row, this set is not listed for it: use the aluminum doors for the Defender HD8 MAX. Later model years and other engine sizes are listed separately in UTV doors.
Half doors or a soft enclosure
On an HD8 that does farm or ranch duty, half doors are the practical pick: you get protection without fighting a full door every time you hop out to open a gate. If you ride in cold or wet weather and want the cab closed, the soft cab enclosure doors for the HD8 are the other route, paired with a roof and windshield.

Installation
No assembly on the bench: the doors come built and bolt to the factory mounting points. SuperATV provides step by step instructions, and the job needs basic hand tools. Leave the hinge bolts snug but not tight until each door closes and latches cleanly, then torque them down and recheck after a ride or two.
