Overview
Load a Defender bed with firewood, feed sacks or a tool chest and you have put a lot of weight directly behind your head. This Kemimoto Can-Am Defender headache rack puts a steel barrier between the cargo box and the cab, so a hard stop or a rough downhill does not send anything through the rear window.
It shields the cab, the rear windshield and your passengers from large objects coming forward out of the bed. That is the main job, and the panel is built stout enough to do it.
The second job is storage. The rack carries a MOLLE panel across the middle, so it becomes mounting real estate rather than just a wall. Hang recovery gear, a fuel can holder, tool pouches, whatever your setup calls for, and use the vertical space you were ignoring.
- Full-width steel barrier between the bed and the cab
- Integrated MOLLE panel for accessories
- No drilling required
- Clears the doors and the rear windshield
- Iron construction with an electrophoretic coating for rust and UV protection
Installation needs no drilling and it does not interfere with the doors or the rear windshield, so nothing you already run has to come off. The electrophoretic finish is what keeps it looking right after a few seasons of weather instead of blooming rust at every weld.
