Overview
Same job as a black flare set, different attitude. These red fender flares for Maverick X3 do the mud blocking and add a color break across the bodywork at the same time, which is a fair trade for a part you were going to bolt on anyway.
The plastic is high quality injection molded polypropylene: light, impact resistant, and stable from desert heat through arctic cold. That matters on a colored part, because heat cycling and UV are what turn cheap plastics chalky. These hold their shape and their finish.
Once they are on, they keep mud, stones and water off the panels and out of the cab over the wheels. Less spatter coming over the tires also means less of it hitting you in the face on a wet trail.
They come pre-drilled with a direct bolt-on design and all the self-tapping screws you need, plus instructions. Drilling small pilot holes first makes the job go faster if you are working alone. They replace OEM part #715002973 and work with X3 flare extensions.
