Overview
This is SuperATV’s Charlie hood rack for the Polaris Ranger 1000. It adds a steel cargo basket over the hood so one trip does the work of two, and the bed stays open for blinds, game or whatever will not fit anywhere else.
Which Ranger it fits
Polaris Ranger 1000 and Ranger 1000 Crew, 2020 and newer. SuperATV adds two notes: it is only compatible with the OEM front bumper, and it works with SuperATV’s flip windshield.
The Ranger 1000 and the Ranger XP 1000 are different machines with different listings. If yours is the XP, use the Charlie hood rack for the Ranger XP 1000. The electric Ranger takes the Charlie hood rack for the Ranger XP Kinetic.
Hood rack or bed rack
A hood rack suits the gear you want out of the bed: tools, packs, decoys. If what you really need is a second level over the bed, look at the Outfitter bed rack for the Ranger 1000 instead, or run both. Whichever you load, tie it down at the slots. Rough ground will empty an open basket.

Installation
It installs on the OEM mounting points, with the factory front bumper in place. Before you load it, pull the pins and flip it up once so the motion is familiar the first time you need to get to the hood panel.
FAQs
How much weight can it take?
SuperATV says it can hold up to 500 lb. The maker's information does not say whether that is a parked or a moving figure. A heavy load over the front end changes the steering and the ride, so build up to it and strap it down.
Can I open the hood with it on?
Yes. Pull out the pins and the rack flips up to give access to the hood panel.
Will it fit with an aftermarket front bumper?
SuperATV's note says it is only compatible with the OEM front bumper.
