Overview
These are Assault Industries rock sliders for the four seat Can-Am Maverick R MAX. The R MAX has a long stretch of rocker between the wheels, and on a ledge or a log crossing that is the part that lands first. These panels sit low and tight to the body so they take that hit instead of the plastic.
Which Maverick it fits
Can-Am Maverick R MAX, 2025 and newer, in the base MAX, MAX X, MAX X RS and MAX X RS with Smart-Shox. The fitment notes say these sliders work with SuperATV skid plates and with the factory skid plate.
The two seat Maverick R is not listed for this set. For that machine, look at the Elektric Offroad Volt rock sliders for the Maverick R. If you run an X3 MAX rather than an R MAX, Assault makes a separate set: rock sliders for the Maverick X3 MAX.
Aluminum or steel
Aluminum is the light choice. It will not rust, which matters if you wash the machine often or ride wet country, and it keeps weight off a machine built to move fast. The trade is that a hard hit on aluminum leaves a permanent dent or flat spot where steel would spring back more, and aluminum is harder to weld back up on the trail. For a fast, long wheelbase machine that mostly needs to slide over things, aluminum makes sense. If you plan to winch off the sliders or pivot the full weight of the machine on them every weekend, compare a steel tube set in UTV rock sliders.

Installation
The sliders are cut for this machine and come with all the hardware they need. The listing does not spell out the mounting steps, so read the instructions before you start and have a socket set and a jack or lift ready. Thread every bolt by hand first, line the panel up with the body, then tighten evenly. Check the hardware again after your first few rides, once everything has settled.
FAQs
Will they fit the two seat Maverick R?
This set is listed for the Maverick R MAX only. The two seat model is not on the list, so use a listing made for it.
Do I have to take off my skid plate?
The fitment notes say the sliders work with the factory skid plate and with SuperATV skid plates. The listing does not mention removing it.
Is the hardware included?
Yes. Assault includes all the mounting hardware.
Will mud pack into them?
Less than a slider with open holes. The face is smooth and gap free, which gives mud and debris less to hang on to.
