Overview
This is the updated version of the Can-Am Maverick Trail roof, and the update is the part worth paying attention to: extra brackets. They lock the panels down hard so the roof stays where you bolted it instead of lifting at highway speed on the way to the trailhead.
The panels themselves are injection molded polypropylene, sturdy and scratch resistant, and they do the everyday work of keeping rain, UV, dust, leaves, and mud out of the cab. A clean cab is a small thing until you have spent twenty minutes blowing pine needles out of the footwells before every ride.
It uses a two piece combination layout, so each half is easy to handle on your own, and a sponge filler closes the seam for a proper seal. Because it mounts to the cage rather than swallowing it, you keep the freedom to run a windshield, lights, or whatever else you had planned up top.
The kit includes two roof panels plus all mounting bolts, nuts, and clamps, so it is a self contained install with no extra trips. It also replaces OEM part numbers 715003659 and 715006218.
