Overview

This is SuperATV’s rear bumper for the Can-Am Maverick Trail. It is a steel tube bumper that guards the rear plastic and bodywork, which on a narrow trail machine is what meets the tree when you back up to turn around.

Which Maverick Trail it fits

  • Maverick Trail 700 and Trail 700 DPS, 2022 and newer
  • Maverick Trail 800 and Trail 800 DPS, 2018 and newer
  • Maverick Trail 1000 and Trail 1000 DPS, 2018 and newer

The Maverick Sport is a wider machine with its own listing: the rear bumper for the Maverick Sport. The Maverick X3 and Maverick R are not listed for this bumper either. Theirs are in UTV bumpers.

Do you need a rear bumper on a Trail

The Trail is built for tight woods, and tight woods mean a lot of backing up. Three point turns between trees and reversing down a trail you could not finish are where rear plastic gets cracked. A frame mounted tube takes that contact first. If your riding is open fields and gravel roads, it matters less. If it is narrow wooded trail, this is one of the first parts worth adding.

FAQs

Do I have to drill?

No. SuperATV says no drilling is required.

Can I still get to the cargo area?

Yes. SuperATV says the bumper does not obstruct access to the rear cargo area.

Will it fit a Maverick Sport?

Use the Maverick Sport listing linked above. This one is listed for the Maverick Trail.

Will the finish hold up?

The powder coat is UV-resistant and SuperATV says it prevents rust and corrosion. It is still a bumper, so expect marks where it does its job, and touch them up.
