Overview
Eight pods instead of six, which is the difference between lighting the wheel wells and lighting the whole machine. If you run a four seat car, or you want pods under the bed and the nose as well as the corners, this is the count you want.
Every pod holds 22 CREE 5050 RGBW chips throwing a 232.8 degree beam, so the light lays down wide and even under the chassis instead of pooling. Operating range is 9V to 32V. The housings are aluminum with a sturdy PC lens that handles shock and vibration, and the IP68 seal is done with an ultrasonic welding process, so there is no glue joint waiting to let water in on a deep crossing.

You get an RF remote pad and Bluetooth app control, including blinking modes, gradient modes and timers, on iOS 7 or Android 4.3 and up. Running 8 pod rgb rock lights gives you enough coverage to skip a second kit later.
