Overview
These are SuperATV’s aluminum half doors for the Can-Am Defender HD5. They close the lower half of each side of the cab, which is where mud, rocks and whatever the front tires throw up comes in, and they leave the top open so you still get air and an easy look over the side.
Which Defender it fits
Can-Am Defender HD5 and HD5 DPS, model years 2017 to 2021. Those are the only machines listed. Other Defender engine sizes, later model years and the MAX crew cab are not listed for this set and use their own doors, all in UTV doors.
Aluminum or HDPE
The HD5 has a second hard half door option: the HDPE half doors for the Defender HD5. Both are half doors, so the choice is the material. Aluminum gives you a metal panel on a steel tube frame in wrinkle black. HDPE is a plastic panel, and its own page has the details. If you want a closed cab instead, look at the soft cab enclosure doors for the HD5.

Installation
The doors come assembled and bolt straight to the HD5's factory mounting points. SuperATV supplies step by step instructions and describes it as a basic hand tool job. Hang each door loosely first, check that it swings without rubbing and that the latch lines up, then tighten everything down. Recheck the bolts after the first few rides.
FAQs
Are these full doors?
No. They are half doors. The upper part of the door opening stays open.
Will they fit a Defender HD8?
This listing is for the HD5 and HD5 DPS only. The HD8 has its own aluminum door listing in UTV doors.
Can I run them with a windshield and roof?
SuperATV says the doors are built around the Defender's factory dimensions and mounting points and work with many other cab accessories. Check the fitment notes on the windshield or roof you run, since that is where conflicts are listed.
Do I need to drill?
No. The doors bolt to the factory mounting points.
